How It All Started 🥜
It started with a loaf of bread and a very strong opinion about what a proper sandwich should taste like.
Cheeky Sammies was born in George, Western Cape, by someone who firmly believed that nobody deserves a sad, soggy, flavourless desk lunch — especially not during a long workday when you're already surviving on caffeine and willpower.
So we did something about it. We started making sandwiches the way we'd want them ourselves: fresh ingredients, real flavour, no shortcuts, and a whole lot of personality stuffed into every single bite.
What started as a small local delivery hustle quickly became George's favourite mid-morning WhatsApp message. Turns out a really, genuinely good sandwich can absolutely change the course of your entire afternoon. We stand by this. 😌
